I am pleased to be able to share with you that Sampler & Antique Needlework Quarterly will be publishing instructions for my Trevelyon Christmas Ornament (a miniature purse, featured on their cover) in their 2012 Winter Issue (#69), along with an article I wrote about Thomas Trevelyon.
I feel fortunate to have one of my designs featured in a magazine that I have followed since its inception.
It seems a good time, as well, to thank all of you who follow my embroidery. Your support & interest helped me to realize that I might have something worthwhile to add to our collective body of embroidery publications.

ReplyDeleteThis is the type of embroidery that I enjoy doing and want to excel at executing. I adore the luscious colors of Elizabethan embroidery but the stark contrast of french monogrammed linen with white on white stops me in my tracks.
You may find me rambling on this post but I dont know anyone else who does this type of embroidery. I usually meet people who prefer cross stitch and hardanger. I cross stitched for years and it is no longer for me. There is so much more flexibility and richness to surface embroidery.
Thank you for this blog. I would be very interested in a stitch a long or any other type of step by step class that you might offer.

Hi Wendy,
DeleteA stitch-a-long, hmmmm. That sounds like a good idea. Let me think about what we could do.
